Heathcare Status: Self-Insured

I am self employed;55;and have high deductible health insurance which might actually be of some benefit when I'm on my death bed. I'm also very frugal by nature so the last thing I want to do is spend money that I don't have to. The result....I never go to the doctor. If I did, I couldn't tell that I actually had whatever coverage blue shield gives me for $300.00/month. "For-profit" health insurance is totally incompatible with an efficient health care delivery system. These money grubbers will not go away without a fight. They no longer serve any useful purpose but they're used to making lots and lots of money. It's money that could be spent actually providing healthcare for people. Why don't I send you good people my $300.00/month. You'd do some good with it! TIM
