United Health Care Denial of Care Outrage

My neighbor, a 37 year old father of a 2 year old and baby twins, got brain cancer. United Health Care denied him any care as any care he needed would be "experimental". Luckily he was insured by his employer, who advocated for him, and got him care at Sloan Kettering, where now his life expectancy has gone from 6 months to 15 years. My own experience with United Health Care, as an "out of network" mental health professional has been the denial of every single claim submitted either by me or my patients at least once, the attempt to claim that I was part of Multiplan, a "cost sharing" unit of theirs, and cut my fees in half, and months to correct the errors. This has been going on for a year and a half at least. Even since Dr. McGuire was forced out keeping one half billion dollars in back-dated stock options. As an aside, Cigna owes me since May of 2007.
