Unable to afford healthcare, Employed, or Unemployed.

During my 5 year employment at a company here in the U.S., I could not afford healthcare for the last 4 years spent at this company. Here is why: At the time of my initial employent with this company the premiums were barely affordable based on my pay rate at the time.

The following year Blue Cross, changed it's name to Anthem; and raised their premiums. The cost went up to $400, per month for a single parent with child, under the new premimus. This was nearly 1/3 of my pay check, which tapped into my monthly grocery bill. At the end of the year I realized that I paid this amount for a full year and there were no significant visits to doctors are the emergency room that year; possiblly no more than 1 visist. Do I get any of this money back?

I found out that healtcare providers not return any of these fees and could go up on their premiums with no regulations. Is there a need for a government healthcare system? Yes, there is. Just like the AIG's and various banks around the nation, these Health Plan Providers, only concern is becoming wealthy. They would do this even if they brought this nation down and had no where to spend there wealth.

There is a need for SERIOUS regulations, or a Government Health Care, system. The Government already pays for Medicare for elders, Welfare and others systems that does not even pay as portiuon of their healthplan. It is right now at this time 100% free for those who receives them. Now I am Unemployed and do not qualify for free medicare and, or can not afford to pay a premium for my daughter and I. I owe this to the Republicans, who held office for over 8 years and and did NOTHING.
