I live in Bowling Green,KY AND I don't have any insurance. I cant afford $470 a month as that's about half of our monthly income. I cant get any kind of medical card and not even what they call a spend down card -- I have a lot of medical conditions i have high blood pressure , diabetes, under active thyroid, high cholesterol, acid reflux, panic and anxiety too, and also a dropped urinary bladder and also angina right now -- I can't think of everything -- also arthritis.

Well, I am glad to say I get a lot of medications through the Drug Manufactures like Montel talks about if any one wants info on this i will send it to you all and you can pass it on OK I take all of these medications Tricor ,Listerpril,Glucotrol XL, Clonidine, Clartine, Prevacid, Neurotin, Cymbalta, Lipitor, Synthroid, Flexril, Ultram, and I also take these shots Novolog on a sliding scale. Novolog 70/30 mix four shots a day each, also Lantus one shot at bedtime ,Symlin three shots a day but I can't see any doctors I need to see since no one will see you unless you have either insurance which I don't or a Medical Card which I don't and cash, which I definitely don't have.

My primary care doctor sees patients on a sliding scale fee but when you need to see these other doctors you can't -- my doctor said I need to see a lung and heart doctor , and I need a lot of dental work done and also I need an eye exam and new glasses, and the OB/GYN doctor that operated on me in Nov 2007 said I need to see an orthopaedic doctor.  In April of 2007 I had a pap smear and breast mammogram and test for colon cancer so these three tests were OK but when the doctor did a pelvic exam on me she found a pelvic mass so my doctor sent me to get an ultrasound and it showed a pretty good size mass, so my doctor sent me to get a MRI so this shows up that I have a large mass on each side. I don't have my uterus any more it was taken out in 1979 when they thought that I had cancer then so I had to find a doctor to do a biopsy on these masses.

So I found a doctor who i thought was gonna do this on me so since i didn't have any insurance , I had to give him $50.00 cash because I thought I would get a spend down medical card so now this doctor did an out-patient Colonoscopy on 8-9-07 and he found three small polyps but he left them in and said i needed to see an OB/GYN so I got it worked out to pay 50.00 to this doctor.

I am still thinking I will get the spend down medical card so after more tests I am put in hospital on 11-14-07 and a urologist was called in to put stints in my kidneys to protect my kidneys and bladder then the GYN took out both ovaries and tubes,and both large masses and a whole lot of scar tissue and the stints were took out so now I go about a month later to try and get any kind of medical card but I found out that this is the ones that can get you had to be 65 , blind , disabled by there guidelines, have kids at home under 18 , foster parent , or adopting a kid , or pregnant , or all kinds of stuff but not me, so now what do I do?

So I now owe these doctors alone about $15,000 and the hospital bills were paid by some kind of grant at hospital and this has happened since the surgery on 11-14-07. A few weeks later I have a blood clot in pelvic area, then there's fluid there , then my left leg feels like something moving and has two places that feel like masses then there's this really bad back pain which I have never had anything like this before the Gyn said it sounded like a pinched sciatic nerve so he recommends I see an orthopaedic surgeon and then there's still all of this pelvic pain, and I go see him again and he says my bladder is inflamed so he puts me on pills for 5 days and I call him back and leave a message. It was his surgery day so I call back again this was his day to go to another town and I call back again and he has my chart on his desk to review so I call again on Tuesday 4-22-08 and he's in surgery again so I leave another message so now I am in a lot of pain and need help but I can't get it.

But if we lived in another town like Louisville, KY, I would get the help I need and to beat it all our income is my disabled husband's Social Security disability check and we are just barely getting by and since our son moved out we now only get $20 a month food stamps instead of $159, and I have contacted a lot of people for help no reply back -- in fact, I even sent emails to Michael Moore and begged him to help me, since he helped that guy with some money but he has never even emailed me back. I even sent emails to some talk show hosts like Oprah Winfrey but nothing from her either, so it looks like there's just no help for people like me and my husband. 

Well thank God he gets his parts A, B and D from Social Security so he's OK on that but not me but like I said if you would like some information to give anybody that would like to have it on getting some of there medications free and just email me back and I will give it to you whether I get the help I need , this info will help some others and that would be great.
