Syncopal Episodes of runner results in health insurance rejection, despite successful treatment

Heathcare Status: Employer Insured

My daughter had syncopal episodes as a cross country runner and went to a hospital for diagnositic testing.   They discovered that there was nothing seriously wrong, put her on a low dose of Norpace to prevent the syncopal spells, and she went on to win a District Championship placement.

Now married, she has been rejected by every insurance company she has applied to, despite the fact that her problem was solved and she went on to win a place in her NCAA Division II District Championship race. I am paying $400 a month for COBRA coverage for her. When that runs out, I don't know what we will do. She most certainly could not pay the cost of the coverage herself as a student.
