Stuck in the middle of customary and reasonable! Who decides?
Hello, My 16 year old son Ryan had an accident. Highway patrol landed a helicopter and transported him to Arrowhead Regional. (nearest trauma center) But not a Blue Cross PPO provider. He had surgery for lacerated pancreas, 8 days later released. Hospital bill was $78,000 Blue Cross will only pay $24,000 after a BIG fight and filing with state board they agreed to pay $37,000. Still leaves me with a $40,000 bill owed to Arrowhead Regional. I am stuck in the middle. Who governs what is Reasonable and customary? HELP PLEASE.
