Retired and going broke
We have Medicare with our insurance -- just three months worth of mail-in claims was over $2500.How is that possible? As you can guess we only got a third of what we need, our premium is $300 a month for a supplemental insurance, plus what they take out of our Social Security income. We have over 20 medications between the two of us.
We fight with insurance company all the time to pay for our maintenance medications have congestive heart failure and lung problems, plus arthritis. My husband has chronic fatigue and extreme sleep apnea. We are on fixed income and going broke. Last year we paid to have dental work done. My husband had to have all of his teeth pulled and dentures put in at the cost of $5,000, which we had no coverage for. I had to have all of my caps redone or pull all my teeth pulled. The cost was $5,000. And no coverage from my work either --which we were not able to write off on our taxes.
