Heathcare Status: Uninsured

For the past 4 years, I have not been able to work in my trade construction because I had a heart attack, stent and while recuperating from that I got rheumatoid arthritis. Because I had no insurance I was unable to see the doctors I should have so did not get the medical help needed. I am 51 yrs of age and my parents who are in their 70's have been doing what they can for me. Then in December 2008, my cardiologist put me in the hospital as I needed a transfusion. In January 2009 they found I had leukemia. I have had one oncologist turn me away as I cannot afford to pay. I have applied for Medicaid in January and Social Security 2 years ago. There has been no decision. I am now over half a million dollars in debt with collection agencies coming after me and I am fighting for my life. My mother has e-mailed the governor and Senator Harry Reid. They sent her more paper work to fill out. This is America. We should have the best and most affordable health care in the world. We should not be discarded just because we can no longer work and pay taxes.
