No longer able to afford insurance
I have worked most of my life in another country. Upon becoming a US citizen I had to get health care from a private company. I have only worked part time jobs, paid SS and Medicare premiums but do not have the necessary time to get Medicare. Thus I have to buy all parts about $900 a month.and some co-pays or get private insurance for $1000 month no co-pays except I pay the first $5000 deductible on everything. On a pension this is over 50% of my income. I cannot afford this and find it ridiculous that I am still paying premiums on Medicare and still have to buy it. I am seriously considering returning to the country I came from where I can still live with dignity.
