Guaranteed Healthcare

Last Summer, 2007, my wife and I received a letter from DHR regarding our son's Medicaid Insurance. The letter informed us that our son's Insurance was terminated. No reason was given to us why.

After countless phone calls my wife finally got through to someone who knew something and told her that we now pay too much money in rent which puts us out of their "range" for assistance. We had recently moved from Atlanta, GA to a small town on the outskirts. Our last year living in Atlanta we lived in a tax credit apartment complex, which is not Section 8 but cheaper rent on new, good housing. We assumed moving out of there might have had something to do with it, we don't know.

All we do know is that our 5 year old son, who will be 6 come April 2008 was left helpless while Cheney can run our tax dollars into his chest. We live in a moderate 2 bedroom 2 and a half bath, and I will say it is large for an apartment, 1500 square feet. However it is not by any means new, I would guess between 10-15 years old. We had to bring in our own Washer and Dryer, which we didn't have and had to purchase. With gas prices, inflation, personal debt, and student loans we could never afford health insurance out of pocket.

My wife has insurance with her work but can't add anyone until their annual benefits update which only lasts a month. I'm not offered insurance because this crazy company keeps putting our crew on temporary positions which doesn't qualify us for holiday pay, bonuses, or benefits. I haven't seen a dentist since 2000, which I'm not worried about as bad as my son, but it's so heartbreaking that most politicians claim to be so patriotic but what are they patriots to? A waving piece of fabric? Marble formed like a child's lego house? Companies? Oil? Religion? Money? Because they sure as hell are not patriotic to us, the people of this country! WE THE PEOPLE CAN DO SOMETHING, LETS TAKE OUR GOVERNMENT BACK!
