Guaranteed Healthcare

My husband was laid off this year, I had health insurance through my husbands job, but now that he is laid off I don't have any medical insurance, my husband was able to get insurance because he is a veteran and he has insurance through the VA, I tried to get insurance through the county, but the financial counselor " said our income was to much," so now I am looking around for other options, this country needs single payer insurance very much it is time out for the greedy HMO's all they care about is making a profit, other countries have universal healthcare for their citizens, why can't this country care enough about it's citizens to have single payer insurance, the best thing that could happen is to get rid of these greedy insurance companies, and have single payer insurance, if a person has a pre-existing condition they should not be denied insurance, seems like these insurance companies would rather see us die.
