We'll be dropped by our insurance company

Heathcare Status: Self-Insured

My wife and I are semi-retired at an early age, 48 and 47 yrs old. We recently took out our own insurance in 2007 and payed the whole years premium up front to be covered that day.

Ten days after we were accepted my wife had chest pains and labored breathing. Our family doctor told my wife to go to the hospital immediately. The first hospital tests showed nothing and she was released undiagnosed.

We then went to Cleveland clinic for a right heart cathoder test and it was diagnosed as Pulmonary Hypertension, which isnt detected with regular arm band pressure cuffs. The insurer refused to pay anything because they are claiming it was pre-existing. We have contacted an attorney and are now taking action.

My wife and I just want our 80-20 plan that we signed for, (Nothing less, Nothing more). We are concerned that when our plan reaches one year we will be dropped. If anyone can offer any advice please Email me at gfont@aol.com for any suggestions. Gary
