May be "retired" with no insurance

We are relatively healthy people, need to lose a some weight, but our blood pressure is good and we eat healthy food. But if my husband is let go we will not have health insurance. With the hit our 401K took in the last six months, we don't know how we are going to make it all stretch much less insure ourselves.

We have lived overseas for nearly 10 years and know what having single payer means to citizens of a country. We are pleased with our doctors' care both in Britain and now in the Netherlands. Although I do not rate the Netherlands as high as Britain.

People are free to change and adapt in their lives because they don't have the insurance fear as in the States. I think people would be much more inclined to invent and grow businesses if health insurance were not an issue.

I used to be a nurse so I have seen the decline of our medical care over many years. It is all about profit these days. This must be fixed. NOW.
