Let's go
I started my nursing career in 2004 at Dominican Hospital, Santa Cruz. I work a .8 (meaning 4 8/hr days per week) on a med/surg floor. This is a lot of hands-on, brain-activity type of work. I get to work at 7 AM and leave between 4 an 5 pm (if it is a 'regular' day). I think about my patients that I've cared for and their needs even after I get home, after I've 'reported off' to my relieving, oncoming, RN. Every day and every person is different, which is part of why I love my career.
I have a lot to say about health care. I keep stepping on my own toes in trying to write it all down right now. I love the CNA point of view on things/how forward thinking. There is this one beauty about the computer age right now/that we can talk about how we feel in 'real time'
