I have endometriosis, I had surgery two years ago when I had insurance. The Dr. didn't want to give me a hysterectomy after I had asked for one. He stated that the endo. wasn't bad enough, and it can be managed. I am so mad at myself still to this day for not getting a 2nd opinion. I had my three boys. My husband and I didn't want anymore children. WE both were hoping that my pain would end but it didn't. The Dr. suggested a laproscopy and then lupron. To our surprise it came right back after my lupron shots were done. I went in to ER. one day because I felt funny and my throat hurt. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid. the only thing that could have caused this the medicine that I was taking for the endometriosis. I can't get any Dr to confirm this. I do know I was getting treated for one thing and ended up getting two things out of the deal!

So now I have to get lab work done that cost 588.72 every 6 months for my thyroid. My Dr would like me to get it tested every 3 months but I can hardly afford this. He says that he would be able to control my thyroid better. I'm paying on a $2,679.03 bill from March of last year. I know that I need surgery because I am in so much pain that I have to call in to work, and I dread that time of the month because of the pain.

But how can I afford another hospital bill? It's sad we live in America and have to live like this.
