Healthcare Nightmare
We have so called "good insurance" that the federal government supplies for a small fee as my husband works for the post office. It is alot better than many plans and would help many but there are more that would still sink into debt as we have. I am a nurse that has had to go on disability and has a very complex disease that no one can seem to figure out and with insurance the way it is we have spent thousands due to being referred to a new doctor every couple weeks. It is frustrating and the bills keep mounting and medications are a joke, hundreds of dollars a month and each Doctor has to add another med that costs an arm and a leg. Co-pays are a killer. I don't know of a single person that would not be better off if they didn't have to think about the bill when they go to the hospital. I can't believe that the government thinks this plan is best for all of us. I don't even make enough on disability to pay for my medical bills and medication. It is ridiculous to think the average American can pay these amounts if they get really ill. It is a black hole that you can't get out of. It will be a sad day in America if we do not have Guaranteed Government Health Care. This program would help so many people and I would be willing to take the tax increase to make sure all our children, parents and family had a way to take care of themselves and not be drowning in debt to get better this is the last thing we need to think about when we are ill. This program would also help out doctors and nurses. We need it.
