Denied Coverage because I was TOO THIN and then my rates went up TWICE in 1 year!

I am self-insured. I have what I call "wealth insurance," not health insurance. I can only afford a $5,000 deductible plan and I had a hard time getting it because I'm 5'10" and 135lbs. I'm thin - no doubt about it. But I'm in perfect health- I swim and I bicycle everywhere.

Still, United Health Care wanted to give me a higher rate because I'm considered underweight! I eventually got a plan in Arizona with HealthWise and then in one year I had 3 rates! They raised my rates one week after I joined the plan. They promised not to raise my rates for another years, but eight months later they raised them again. It's just not fair. It's not right. I cannot afford to go to the doctor b/c I have to pay out of pocket for anything up to $5,000.
