An old woman in a young woman's body

I am a 25 year old female that feels like a 75 year old. Since a very young age I have always suffered from obesity. I'm currently working on that with a new diet and physical activity. I also have very high blood pressure and the makings of diabetes. I have over $10,000 in medical bills because I can't afford health insurance and shortness of breath, chest pains, and an undiagnosed female condition has landed me in the ER on more than one occasion.

One visit sticks out in mind I had just gotten off work and told my husband that I was having chest pains and was feeling week. Without question he drove directly from work to the hospital. I went into the ER and the nurse asks what was going on. I told her my symptoms and she sent me to the waiting room with paper work. I filled out six sheets and four of them asked about my health coverage and only 2 asked about my symptoms. When they took my vital signs my blood pressure was 180/120 which is extremely high. They took be back to a room and told me to relax and calm down. I received a shot a short time later to bring the blood pressure down. The doctor then walked in with a prescription and so instructions for at home. I still felt sick and shaky and my chest was on fire.

My blood pressure had only went down to 160/90 which is still high. He told me not to worry that it would go down on its own and that I needed to get the script filled as soon as possible and to find a family doctor. I told him that I couldn't afford a doctor because of no health insurance. He told me I shouldn't put a price on my health, I couldn't believe this man told me this when it was exactly what he was doing! The next day I took the prescription to the pharmacy and asked how much it would be for the generic version of the medicine. I nearly fainted when she told me it was $140! So I walked away with tears in my eyes and the same nagging pain in my chest without my medicine and without any help at all from the doctor.

I still have that pain and I still don't have a doctor. I'm always scared one day I'll just drop dead and no one will do anything about it. I feel so trapped. I can't afford to get healthy because the price they put on your health is too expensive.
